Introducing Custom Domains

Self now supports custom domains on Pro and Team, so your published page can live on a domain you own while keeping the same simple Self publishing workflow.

A self.cv link is already a clean way to share a professional page. But sometimes the right link is your own domain: the one printed on your card, listed in your email signature, or used across the rest of your professional presence.

That is why we are so happy to introduce custom domains for Self. Pro and Team users can now connect a domain they own to a published page, so a Self site can live at an address like yourname.com or www.yourname.com.

Your page, your domain

Custom domains are designed for the moments when the link itself matters. A personal domain can make your page feel more permanent, more brandable, and easier to use across applications, portfolios, outreach, speaking bios, client work, or independent projects.

The Self URL still exists as a dependable home for your page. A custom domain simply gives you another, more personal way to point people to the same published profile.

A guided setup

  • Enter a domain you already own from a provider such as Namecheap, Cloudflare, or GoDaddy.
  • Choose whether only the entered URL should work or whether Self should also set up the paired www/non-www version.
  • Copy the DNS records from Self into your domain provider, then verify the connection from the same panel.
  • Self handles the routing and SSL setup after DNS is verified, so the domain can go live without turning this into a full hosting project.

Pro includes one custom-domain setup for one published page. Team includes up to eight, matching the larger publishing needs of teams, studios, and people managing several pages.

This is a small detail with a big effect: your resume, portfolio, projects, Share Kit, analytics, and SEO controls can now sit behind a domain that feels fully yours. We are excited to make Self pages easier to share as a lasting part of your professional identity.
