No. You can generate a preview without creating an account. You only need to sign in when you want to publish your page.
Yes. You can keep editing your content after publishing, update your design, switch templates, and republish changes whenever you need. Some advanced design controls are part of Pro.
Yes. Self is built for both traditional CVs and more visual portfolios. You can showcase projects with images, MP4 videos, YouTube links, and supporting media.
Free includes one hosted page at your own you.self.cv subdomain, access to free templates, full control over your page content, share cards, and a required “Powered by Self” badge.
Upgrade to Pro if you want to take your personal brand further. Pro unlocks all templates, full design control, custom typography and colors, a custom domain for your published page, metadata and footer customization, full SEO controls, analytics, AI chat edits, and removal of the “Powered by Self” badge.
Don't worry: your published page can stay live because Free also includes one hosted page. Free publishing rules apply again, so the “Powered by Self” badge returns, search indexing is disabled, and any custom domain is disconnected. If your live page already uses a premium template, custom colors or theme, or custom page metadata, those choices stay on that page. However, the paid controls are locked for new changes until you upgrade again. You also lose access to Pro features like analytics, AI chat edits, SEO controls, and custom-domain management.
Yes. Pro and Team users can connect a domain they own, such as yourname.com or www.yourname.com, to a published Self page. Self guides you through the DNS records, verification, SSL, and routing setup.
Team is for career coaches, recruiters, agencies, schools, and teams that need to manage multiple pages or client profiles from one account.
Self uses AI to structure and improve your page, but you stay in control. Always review the result before publishing, and edit or remove anything that feels inaccurate, incomplete, or not like you.
Paid plans show when people visit your page, how they find it, what devices and locations they come from, and how much of your resume they actually read. Scroll depth is especially useful because it shows whether someone only clicked or really engaged.
After publishing, you can create polished digital cards and QR business cards for LinkedIn, messages, applications, networking, and social posts. They help your page make a strong first impression before someone opens the full profile.
Free pages are published with search indexing disabled. Pro and Team users can control search visibility from Studio and choose whether their page should be discoverable by search engines.
